Meet Dr. Sood
About Me
I am a licensed clinical psychologist (NY, CA) and a brown woman navigating a world designed by and for white men. With nearly 15 years of experience, I specialize in supporting women of color, immigrants, individuals in major life transitions, trauma survivors, and perinatal warriors. My background includes extensive clinical training across diverse care settings in New York City, and a foundation in consulting that shapes my executive coaching practice. This dual experience allows me to bring a blend of clinical insight and strategic leadership guidance to my work with both individuals and organizations.
My Approach to Therapy
In my practice, I create a safe, inclusive space where you can explore challenges, reconnect with your strength, and move toward the life you want. Our early sessions will feel like a guided conversation, helping me fully understand your story and needs. As therapy progresses, I encourage you to bring in what feels most important each week—trusting that together, we'll connect the dots and move your goals forward.
Therapy with me is a practice ground: a place to voice your needs, set boundaries, and own your power in your relationships and daily life.
Who I Work With
I specialize in trauma recovery, navigating life as an immigrant, perinatal and postpartum care, pregnancy loss, and leadership coaching for professionals. Whether you're healing from the past or building something new, I offer a compassionate, culturally attuned space to support your journey toward resilience and growth.
If you resonate with my approach and are ready to embark on a transformative journey, I encourage you to reach out. Please don't hesitate to message me to schedule a consultation. I can't wait to accompany you on your path to healing and empowerment!
